Our Demo Plot Programme gives agricultural companies the opportunity to showcase their products and technologies under real farming conditions while giving farmers the opportunity to see, learn, and make informed decisions.
Located at MAFAFA Farm, Mpongwe, our demonstration plots form part of the Mpongwe Agricultural Expo and provide a practical platform for showcasing seed varieties, fertilizers, irrigation systems, crop protection products, machinery, solar technology, soil-health solutions and climate-smart farming practices.
A Living Agricultural Demonstration Centre
Our demo plots are designed to go beyond the three-day Expo. Selected demonstrations can be established and managed throughout the farming season, allowing farmers and agribusinesses to observe crop development and technology performance at different stages.
As Zambia prepares for anticipated El Niño dry spells, MAFAFA Farm’s demo plots serve as a vital learning hub for climate-smart practices. Participating companies can demonstrate advanced drip irrigation and drought-resilient solutions, helping local farmers see firsthand how to safeguard their crops and maintain productivity under tough climate conditions.

Our high-visibility demonstration area provides 550 metres of frontage along the D486 Mpongwe–Machiya Road, with approximately 8,250 m² (0.825 hectares) available for agricultural demonstrations
